Ram 3500 2wd to 4wd Conversion

I am looking to buy a gas  97 Ram 3500 dually dump truck and swap out all the necessary components to make it a 4wd. Does anyone have any experience with this conversion. Pictures, comments or anything you have would be much appreciated. I will be swapping the gas motor for a good ole 12 valve cummins!
